Preparing Seed Material
Sorting Tubers
Before storing, carefully sort the potatoes. Keep only clean, healthy tubers of medium size. Before that, dry them and "green" them by leaving them in the sun. This will help protect the tubers from pests.
Disinfection
At the beginning of May, a few days before planting, take the potatoes out of the cellar and treat them in a saturated pink solution of potassium permanganate. For better effect, add a teaspoon of ammonium nitrate and a glass of ash to a bucket of water. Soak the tubers for 20 minutes.
Preparation for Planting
Germinated Tubers
After treatment, spread the potatoes in 1-2 layers in boxes and place them in a room with a temperature of 12-15 degrees and access to daylight.
Growth Stimulation
Before planting, spray the tubers with a sodium humate solution. To prepare it, mix 2 tablespoons of concentrate with 3 liters of water.
Preparing Pits
In each pit, add a mixture of onion peels, crushed eggshells, and azofoska. This will provide the necessary nutrients for the growth of the plants.
By following these recommendations, you can significantly increase the yield of potatoes.
